Lynda Andrews, Founder/CEO of I Am My Sisters Keeper Breast Cancer Foundation.
Lynda, a breast cancer survivor, was diagnosed with breast cancer on December 5, 2005.
A native of Memphis, TN, Lynda relocated to Sacramento, CA with her husband and two sons pursuing her career.
Lynda, a retired law enforcement officer, enjoys spending her spare time with her prized possessions, her three adorable grandchildren. Known by family and friends as " the glue that keeps us all together". Her passion for the cause comes from her genuine compassion for others and her personal journey.
During her journey with breast cancer, Lynda had more than 10 surgeries during treatment. Being well aware of the financial strain this can cause. Noting, no one should have to choose between surviving cancer and financial survival.
During her journey, Lynda became very passionate about the disease and the affect it had on breast cancer patients during treatment. Her passion soon became her mission; her mission is now her movement.
Lynda believes that for every breast cancer patient and survivor, your fight is her fight.
Lynda's commitment is to address the health and well-being for low-income breast cancer patients.
I Am My Sisters Keeper will champion to be the voice to assure breast cancer patients having low-income are not burdened with the stress of having to chose between surviving cancer and financial survival.
Lynda's vision is that all breast cancer patients receive adequate medical care, treatment and supplies needed during treatment. I Am My Sisters Keeper promotes education on research and early detection.
To assist low-income breast cancer patients in the community with medical, emotional and financial needs by providing assistance through the organizations various beneficiary programs.
Driven to help breast cancer patients with the survival of the disease and family hardship during treatment.
All breast cancer patients have an affordable chance of survival.
